NOTICE OF ELECTION 

To the qualified electors of the City of Mason: 

Notice is hereby given that a Primary Election will be held in the City of Mason on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

The Primary Election will nominate candidates for the following offices:

PARTISAN - United States Senator, Congress - 8th District, State Representative - 67th District, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, County Clerk, Treasurer, Register Of Deeds, Drain Commissioner, County Commissioner District #14, Delegates To County Convention; 

And will elect the following:

NONPARTISAN - Judge of Circuit Court, 30th Circuit, Non-Incumbent Position 

THE FURTHER PURPOSE of the election is to vote on the following millage proposal as presented and listed below:

COUNTY:

·          Emergency Telephone Service (9-1-1 Service) Millage

·          Juvenile Millage Renewal Question

·          Public Transportation System for Elderly and Disabled Millage Question

 

 

All electors who are registered with the City Clerk are eligible to vote at this election. All precincts are located at Mason City Hall in the Community Room and are accessible for voters with disabilities.

 

The City Clerk’s office will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012 for the purpose of processing absentee applications received by mail, and for the purpose of any qualified voter to appear in person to vote by absentee ballot for the August 7, 2012  Primary Election.
