ADOPT A RIVER - SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2009

Impression 5 Science Center is very proud to be the host of Lansing's Adopt-A-River Program! The Lansing Board of Water and Light has awarded Impression 5 a grant to administer and coordinate this popular program.

Adopt A River was originated by the Board of Water & Light in 1994 as a community service. The BWL continues to support the program through funding and active participation. Adopt A River’s purpose is to enhance the quality of life in the Greater Lansing area by encouraging citizen participation in beautifying the Red Cedar and Grand Rivers that flow through the Lansing area.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!
Cleaning up the river is a big job! Impression 5 is in need of hundreds of volunteers who would be interested in helping with not only the clean up but also the administration and logistics of the clean up. If you or your family or organization would like to help make the rivers and thus the city a cleaner place for all to enjoy, please contact us right away!
