CITY TO CONDUCT TRAFFIC STUDY

The City of Mason has contracted with Traffic Engineering Associates, Inc. to conduct a detailed traffic study of the City.  The study will help staff address the most immediate needs of traffic circulation and prepare plans for future development.  The scope of work for the project includes data collection, intersection analysis, traffic impact study for two future growth areas, speed zone study, and an origin and destination study for two neighborhoods.

The origin and destination studies include the neighborhoods of Rayner Ponds/Landings at Rayner Ponds and the neighborhood in the vicinity of North Cedar Street and West Columbia Street.  Please be advised that it will be necessary for survey crews to record license plate numbers to determine cut through traffic in these neighborhoods.  All vehicles used in this project will be clearly marked as survey crews.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this project or crews working in your neighborhood, contact David Haywood at (517) 676-9155.
