DESIGNATE AUTHORIZING SIGNATORIES

RESOLVED, that
Mason State Bank and Dart National Bank, as designated depositories of the City
of Mason, be, and it is hereby requested, authorized, and directed to honor
checks, drafts, or other orders for the payment of money drawn in the City's
name, including those payable to the individual order of any persons whose
names appear thereon as signers thereof, when bearing or purporting to bear the
facsimile signatures of the two following names: Martin A. Colburn, City Administrator; Kathy L.
Revels, Finance Director/Treasurer, and the above banks shall be entitled to
honor and charge the City of Mason for such checks, drafts, or other orders,
regardless of by whom or by what means the actual or purported facsimile

LEVY 1% TAX ADMINISTRATION FEE
June 17, 2002
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mason that the City Treasurer is to
levy a 1% tax administration fee on all county, school, intermediate school,
state education and Lansing Community College taxes levied on the July and
December 2002 tax rolls of the City of Mason; and
FURTHER RESOLVED,
that the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to collect 4% penalty on any taxes
that remain unpaid from the July tax roll after September 3, 2002, and 3%
penalty from the December tax roll after February 14, 2003.

Agreement between the City of Mason and Mason City Employees, Capitol City
Lodge #141, Fraternal Order of Police Labor Program, Inc., Mason Police
Department Supervisory Division, dated July 1, 2002 - June 30, 2005; and
RESOLVED FURTHER, the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute said
Agreement on behalf of the City Council.

A
preliminary map was presented of the Hayhoe Riverwalk linear park. Easements are being acquired from Kipp Road
to Maple Street.

Ordinance
No. 38-A-02, Amendment to Planning Commission Ordinance, indicates that one of
the nine members shall be a member of the city council. Discussion was held on the value of having a
Council Liaison in addition to the nine member commission and having a liaison
as a voting member of the commission.

Discussion
was held on the proposed disorderly conduct ordinance of Chapter 42 of the
Code.

and Sycamore Streets has been removed from the Dangerous Building List.

It was discussed that the high bidder for the State
Street project has declined the project.

Mayor
Whipple commented on the Facade Grant Program and that the two proposals
submitted for the Old Fire Station are being reviewed by the Executive Director
and Executive Committee.
ADMINISTRATOR’S
REPORT
Administrator
Colburn commented that Millennium Cable TV will be making program and channel
changes. Changes in the tax base spread
are being considered by Ingham County for the Capitol Region Airport
Authority. The Tri-County Metro
Narcotics Squad annual report was provided.
The City of Mason Police Department continues to work with the Squad.
