  Welcome from Mayor Leon Clark

Welcome to the official web site for the city of Mason, Michigan. It is our intent that this web site provide an informative forum for residents and visitors alike. Please take some time to peruse the web site. We have provided a wealth of information pertaining to the operations of the city. The charter and ordinances of the city are available online through the web site as well as property assessment, tax, and utility billing records. The web site includes descriptions of several city departments and of the numerous park facilities located within the city as well as several pictures of various landmarks within Mason. Email addresses for members of the city council and other city officials are available through the web site.

Mason has developed from a small village in 1865 to a thriving small city in 2010.  We are the County Seat to the Capital County of Ingham.  Something that we all hold dear is Mason being the only city, which is not the same city, which has the established state capital in it as well as the County Seat, throughout the fifty states.

We as citizens of Mason are most fortunate.  We have the Ingham County Courthouse and numerous historic churches as the cornerstones of our community.  The community has been growing from the inside outward, which utilizes much less land, maintaining the family farm environment that is part of our identity.  It is a fine place, when after a short period of time living in Mason, you know your neighbors names.  As we continue to evolve, there is much to be thankful for.

Mason is a source of pride for all who call it home. The City Council is committed to maintaining the best attributes of Mason and to creating an environment that is attractive to suitable commercial and industrial entities. We invite you to visit our city and see for yourself!
