MEN AT WORK

TRASH PICKUP

TRASH

Trash may be placed curbside after 9:00 p.m. the night before collection day, and no later than 8:00 a.m. on collection day. Receptacles must be removed by residents no later than 9:00 p/m/ of trash pick-up day.

Trash Collection Days:

East side - Monday

West Side - Friday (Friday pick-up includes both sides of Jefferson Street)

YARD WASTE

Yard waste is collected on Fridays.  Please place yard waste clearly separate from the trash. Compost (yard waste) material is defined as:  grass, leaves, shrubs, tree branch trimmings and garden materials.  Shrubs and branch trimmings must be cut to four-foot lengths and securely tied in bundles (weighing 30 pounds or less). Plastic bags will not be picked up.  Approved containers that may be used include brown paper compost bags (preferred method) or placed loose inside a 30-gallon (or smaller) trash can.  Each container must weigh 30 pounds or less.  Yard waste must be placed separately and away from the trash, on the opposite side of the driveway, if at all possible. This allows the workers to easily identify the trash from the compost. Weeds or grass clippings must be free of dirt.  Granger will take up to four 30 gallon cans, or four bundles of brush, or a combination of the two, from each residence weekly.

In the event that a major holiday falls on or before the regularly scheduled collection day, expect a one day delay in service. Regular collection schedules resume on the Monday following a holiday.

The following holidays are observed:  New Year's Day - Memorial Day - Fourth of July - Labor Day - Thanksgiving Day - Christmas Day

In the event that it appears that your residence
has been missed on collection day
please contact Granger before 12:00 noon

517-372-2800 or 1-888-Granger
