The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for the maintenance and construction of much of the infrastructure that the City of Mason residents and visitors use everyday.  This includes streets, storm drainage systems, the water distribution systems, and park and recreation facilities.  

The City maintains:

 798 Traffic control signs
 44.26 Miles of sidewalks and multi-use pathways
 4 Major bridges
 45 Miles of water main pipe
 600 Fire hydrants
 3,300 Water service connections 
 32 Miles of sanitary sewer main pipe 
 61 Vehicles and major pieces of equipment in the City's fleet
City Parks that have 92.74 acres of grass and many buildings
Riverwalk trail that is 2.5 miles long
Cemetery that is 38 acres
>3,300  Trees in the right of ways and parks
